Crude-Oil Train Routes in the Region
Philadelphia-area refineries are among the busiest destinations for railroad shipments of highly flammable crude oil in the nation, and many of the mile-long trains pass through Center City and other densely populated neighborhoods. In the event of a fire involving an oil-tank car, federal transportation officials recommend evacuating people within a half-mile of the accident. In the Philadelphia region, about 705,000 people live within a half-mile of railroad routes used to ship crude oil.
This blog contains the Best of my Railroad, Railway, and Train Images. I have done many types of Photography. My Images have been published in many Newspapers and Magazines, and I have done photo work for several Legal Firms. I have thousands of Digital Images, and many more taken with 35 mm film that have yet to be scanned.
